New funding to SOFI from Forte and Riksbankens Jubileumsfond
Four research projects at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) have been granted new funding from the research financiers Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and Forte.
Swedish Research Council for Health, Working life and Welfare – Forte – has granted a total of SEK 315 million to 71 new research projects within the annual open call for project grants for 2022. Stockholm University was granted SEK 50 million and the following projects at SOFI have received funding:
- A carbon-free policy for all: A Decarbonized Politics For All: The Welfare
State and Public Support of Climate Policy

- An Evaluation of Higher Vocational Education
Responsible researcher (PI) Anders Stenberg
Grant: SEK 3,814,000
- Student funding, welfare, and participation in higher education
Responsible researcher (PI) Krzysztof Czarnecki
Grant: SEK 4,900,000
The Swedish Riksbank's Jubileumsfond has granted funding in this year's regular call for humanities and social sciences. A total of SEK 355 million is granted to 70 applications, and SEK 90 million is granted Stockholm University. At SOFI, the following project has been granted funding:
- Unions and the college premium: collective bargaining and wage differentials in the knowledge economy. Responsible researcher (PI): Tomas Korpi
