Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University now accepts applications for a postdoc position where the person will be nominated for Handelsbanken’s Wallander Scholarship. The person we nominate needs to have graduated from their PhD program during the 2023/24 academic year, and preferably from a Swedish university. The scholarship period starts in January 2025 and SOFI will provide bridge funding between the graduation month and January 2025, if needed. If the scholarship application is declined, a two-year postdoc position will be offered in its stead.

Please apply by submitting the following materials to Johanna Rickne (johanna.rickne@sofi.su.se) by January 15, 2024:

  • CV
  • An example of your research/Job market paper
  • A motivation for why you would like to work at SOFI and description of the research you would conduct as a Wallander Scholar (approx. 1 page of text).

Questions about SOFI can be directed to Johanna, but questions about the scholarship are best directed to Handelsbankens Forskningsstiftelser.
