Roujman Shahbazian began his doctoral studies at SOFI in 2013 and has been an active researcher at the institute ever since. His research focuses on social and economic mobility over the life course and how these patterns affect future generations. He examines whether career trajectories stabilize or change over time and explores different ways to measure lifetime earnings, including income, occupational class, and educational attainment.
His appointment as Associate Professor reinforces his expertise in social and economic mobility, and we look forward to the insights and research contributions he will continue to bring!
Research at the Level of Living-unit includes studies of individuals' living conditions, social stratification and economic and social inequality. Here we study what living conditions in society look like today for both adults and children, and how the standard of living in society has changed over time and between generations.
