José Montalban Castilla, Assistant Professor, has been awarded funding for his project that examines how class size impacts education, health, and teacher recruitment. This project aims to contribute to the better understanding of the behavioral responses of students, parents and teachers to class size changes, as well as exploring its effects on a broader set of outcomes, would help us provide a more complete picture of when class size reductions should be most effective.

Ola Sjöberg, Professor of Sociology, has been granted funding for research on social policy, life trajectories, and health in Europe's welfare states over the past century. The project aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how social policy affects people’s health and quality of life over time.

These projects showcase the broad and impactful research conducted at SOFI, and we look forward to following their progress.
