Degrees
The final step upon completing your studies is to apply for a degree. Regardless of whether your degree is at the bachelor, master or doctoral level, it serves as a certification of your knowledge and the skills you have obtained in your studies.
Bachelor's and Master's degree
When you have finished your studies and want to apply for the award of a qualification, you should apply to receive a degree certificate (diploma).
Doctoral level degrees
For a Licentiate degree (120 ECTS), you must have written and presented a licentiate thesis at a seminar scrutinized by an opponent.
To be awarded a PhD, you must pass the courses that are included in the PhD program (60 ECTS) and have written a dissertation (thesis) corresponding to 180 ECTS credits (out of required 240 ECTS credits for the degree).
