Natalia Volvach receives a scholarship for the project Ukrainian Voices in Sweden (2024–2025)

The Anna Ahlström and Ellen Terserus Foundation for PhD's has decided to award Natalia Volvach at Stockholm University a two-year research scholarship for Doctor of Philosophy 2024–2025: Ukrainian Voices in Sweden. "Countering Voicelessness: Lived experiences of language among war refugees from Ukraine in Sweden".

The foundation provides scholarships to women doing research at Stockholm University's Faculties of Humanities and Social sciences.

Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine has forced millions of people to flee their homes and seek safety in neighboring countries, not least in the Nordic Region. This postdoctoral project investigates the lived experiences of language among those Ukrainians who have fled to Sweden since the outbreak of the full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022.
