Working with AI for teaching and assessment

How do teachers use generative AI as a pedagogical tool? What ethical challenges do teachers face when using AI? How do teachers cope with AI and academic integrity? This workshop is aimed at those who already have some experience using AI tools in their work and would like to become better at using the tools.
A workshop for teaching staff at Stockholm University with some experience using AI tools in their work who want to delve deeper into potential uses, benefits and limitations of Generative Artificial Intelligence tools for teaching, learning and assessment practices.
About the workshop
In this workshop, you will be asked to share your experiences, best practices and tested uses of AI in your context of teaching and get feedback. Please bring with you an example of how you have successfully used AI in your teaching. Furthermore, we will discuss issues of academic misconduct with students using AI for examination tasks and start drafting individual and collective AI policies at course level.
The workshop will be delivered through a combination of presentations, group discussions, and case studies. Emphasis will be on encouraging participants to share their experiences and perspectives and to actively engage in critical thinking and reflection on the impacts of AI tools for teaching and learning practices.
Workshop leaders are Alexandra Farazouli, Doctoral Student at the Department of Education and Mara Haslam from the Department of Teaching and Learning. The workshop will be held in English.

The workshop is aimed at all teaching staff and educational managers, regardless of subject affiliation, at Stockholm University. Participation is free of charge. Book your place in good time, as places are limited. First come, first served is applied.
