The MARS network is a foundation created by, and open to, Europe's marine research institutes and stations. Askö Laboratory is a participant of the network.
At the station B1 right outside the Askö Laboratory an automatic measuring buoy records and displays oceanographic data in real-time. It is part of a network of similar measuring buoys along Sweden’s coast.
The Swedish Long Term Ecological Research, LTER, network was established in 2010 and adopted by LTER-Europe and ILTER in August 2010. The Askö Laboratory is one of the participants.
