Inbjudan att ge förslag till naturvetenskapliga områdets valberedning inför val av områdesnämnd för perioden 2021-2023.

Under hösten 2020 sker val av områdesnämnden för naturvetenskap för perioden 2021-2023. En valberedning tillsattes av områdesnämnden i december 2019. Valberedningen har i uppdrag att ge förslag på ledamöter i områdesnämnden, dvs dekanus (tillika vicerektor), prodekanus, fyra sektionsdekaner, fyra vice sektionsdekaner, ordförande i grundutbildningsberedningen, vice ordförande i grundutbildningsberedningen, fyra övriga lärare (en per sektion), samt fyra gruppsuppleanter (en per sektion).

Det är således många uppdrag som ska bemannas. Vi som valberedning ser gärna att det inkommer förslag både på personer som idag sitter i områdesnämnden samt på personer som inte gör det.

Valberedningen vill därför inbjuda det naturvetenskapliga området till att ge förslag på personer som är lämpliga för något/flera uppdrag.

Förslagen skickas med mejl till fakultetsval@science.su.se  senast den 10 februari 2020. Förslagen ska innehålla (i) namn på den föreslagna personen, (ii) personens mejladress, (iii) det uppdrag personen föreslås till, samt gärna (iv) en kort motivering. Man kan föreslå sig själv.

Ni behöver inte tillfråga personen som föreslås. Personer som är aktuella för att nomineras kommer tillfrågas av valberedningen i ett senare skede.

En inbjudan till ett informationsmöte om områdesnämnden (28 januari, kl 9-10) kommer att skickas ut inom kort. På detta möte kommer områdesnämndens arbetsordning, skyldigheter, organisation mm presenteras.

During autumn 2020, there is an election to the Board of Science for the period 2021-2023. In December 2019, the present Board of Science appointed a Nomination Committee. The task for this committee is to suggest members of the board, i.e. Dean (also Deputy Vice President), Vice Dean, four Section Deans, four Vice Section Deans, Chairperson of the Committee for Undergraduate Education, Vice Chairperson of the Committee for Undergraduate Education, four teachers (one from each section), and four group replacements (one from each section).

The nomination committee would like to receive proposals for both current members of the Board of Science as well as for new members.

The Nomination Committee, therefore, wants to invite colleagues in the Faculty of Science to send proposals of persons considered suitable for tasks in the board.

Send the proposals by mail to fakultetsval@science.su.seno later than February 10, 2020. Each proposal should include (i) the name of the person, (ii) the person’s mail address, (iii) the task the person is proposed to have, and, if you want, (iv) a brief motivation. You may suggest yourself.

You don’t need to ask the person proposed. At a later stage, the Nomination Committee will contact those persons who are considered for nomination.

Within the coming week you will receive an invitation to an information meeting on the tasks of the Board of Science (due January 28, 09.00-10.00). At this meeting information on the tasks, responsibilities, organisation etc. of the Board of Science will be presented.
