Academic writing service

The Academic Writing Services is a centrally located unit at Stockholm University, providing support in both Swedish and English for writing and study skills. They give talks, hold seminars and offer individual guidance. The unit works actively to develop pedagogical approaches and the service is free of charge to all students at Stockholm University.

Exams and results

Our courses and modules generally end with a take-home exam. This means that teaching staff will provide you with a number of questions that you are expected to answer in a set period of time. Stockholm University does not accept plagiarism and all assignments uploaded will be run against a plagiarism checker tool.

Exams will be marked by teaching staff according to course grade criteria. If you have received the grades F or FX (failed) you will always be offered opportunities to resit the assignment. Please direct questions regarding exams and grading criteria to relevant teaching staff. Resits on courses not yet completed will be offered twice a year (January and August). Please consult the Director of Studies Dr Rebecca Brinch for further information.
