Organisation

The Department of environmental science is a large, international department representation from more than 30 countries around the globe.

The Department of Environmental Science is a large department with roughly 170 employees of which 70 are researchers and teachers, 45 are PhD students, and the remaining are technical and administrative staff. We are divided into 4 research units, and are engaged in both high quality research and teaching at all leves of academia.

The department board handles issues such and budgets, advertaisement of new positions, course curriculum, admission of graduate students and much more.

The board has representatives from all groups at the department. So Researchers, technical and administrative staff as well as students are represented.

Government representatives:

The department also has representation from the Swedish Chemicals Agency, KEMI, and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket in swedish)

 

The Work Environment and Equal Opportunities group, RALV, includes representatives from the employer, employees and students, from our different units.
RALV should raise and discuss work environment related to physical, social and organisational work environment and equal opportunities issues affecting the department. Focus should be on the department’s systematic work environment and equal opportunities management, i.e. issues of an overarching, strategic and structural nature.
