Study with us
Depending on your interests, our chemistry courses will prepare you for careers in research, industrial chemistry and other jobs that require chemistry applications.
The Department of Organic Chemistry at Stockholm University offers education in organic chemistry at Bachelor, Master, and PhD level.
Well-equipped laboratories
Courses are taught at KÖL (Chemistry Practice Laboratory) and at the department, in well-equipped laboratories where students will master fundamental techniques including:
Grignard reactions, substitution reactions, elimination reactions, condensations, enolate chemistry, distillation, chromatography, and basic NMR spectroscopy at the Bachelor level and at the Master level advanced techniques including: Schlenk-techniques, organometallic reagents, chiral separation using both HPLC and GC, high resolution mass-spectroscopy, advanced 1D 2D NMR-techniques, and computational chemistry.
