Incoming exchange students

We offer many courses in English with highly engaged and widely cited researchers. Coming here as an exchange student will give you new insights in our subjects, valuable experiences as well as good friends.

There are many good reasons to choose to come to Stockholm University as an Exchange student, including the strong research connection and stimulating learning environment. Our proximity to the capital city, Stockholm as well as the beautiful Swedish nature are other reasons to choose to come here. And importantly we offer a wide selection of courses in English mainly at Master's (advanced) level.

 

How to apply as an exchange student

The application process for exchange students is different from that for other international students. Please read the application procedure below.

Nomination and application process

In order to be eligible to study as an exchange student at the Department of Physical Geography, you must be nominated by your home institution. We do not accept free movers as exchange students. If you want to study as an exchange student at Stockholm University, there must be an exchange agreement between Stockholm University and your home university. Contact the exchange coordinator at your home university regarding the nomination process.

Courses for exchange students

We offer courses with highly engaged and widely cited researchers. Our courses are full-time courses that run over five or ten weeks. Courses are a combination of different teaching modules, consisting lectures, seminars, exercises, self-study, project work and excursions. Coming here as an exchange student will give you new insights in Physical Geography, valuable experiences as well as good friends.
