Eleonora Svanberg, releases the book Study with me
Eleonora Svanberg studied on the Bachelor's programme in Physics at Fysikum when she was also our student ambassador for social media. She then took her master's degree at Cambridge and will do her PhD at Oxford University in England. Today she releases the book ‘Study with me - how to build mathematical confidence’.

At Fysikum, Eleonora studied on the Bachelor Programme in Physics. She was also the student ambassador for our social media.
How are you and how are your studies going?
"I am having a great time! After my Master's degree at Cambridge, I am finally starting my PhD programme at Oxford, which I have been looking forward to! I will continue to learn about quantum field theory and how number theory can help us understand string theory. I took a break between my Master's and PhD studies to focus on other work I enjoy; like writing my book ‘Study with me’! I was also working as a consultant for a MedTech company; Mölnlycke. I wanted to combine my analytical skills with my communication skills and got to help establish good and relevant external communication on social media, with the help of developing analytical tools."
Book release and panel discussion on gender equality in STEM
"My book is everything I wish someone had said to me when I started having maths doubts, and everything I want to say to young people in similar situations. Everyone can be good at and benefit from maths, no matter who you are or what you are passionate about. My goal is that the reader will realise afterwards that maths is for them."
What recommendations do you have for physics students at Fysikum?
"Be kind to yourself! Don't put too much pressure on yourself to perform. Instead, be curious; ask stupid questions and see what courses you like and don't like. Believe me, there were many courses I didn't like - but they also serve a purpose. Eventually, you will find something you fall in love with and dare to keep following it! Also prioritise study skills."
Learn study techniques in Eleonora's book ‘Study with me’
The book contains both study tips and portraits of role models who use maths in some way in their everyday lives - from game development to solar research. Simply a complement to school maths books!
