Meet our new Ambassador student Ignacio from Medical Radiation Physics

Fysikum has two student ambassador's, Erik Elfwing who's a Bachelor student and Ignacio Verdugo. He is 34 years old and comes from Concepción in Chile. "I'm in my first year of PhD and have 4 years to go. My mission will be to show the life of a PhD Student in Stockholm and different possibilities of work and research.

Ignacio Verdugo, Phd Student and Student Ambassador for Fysikum's social media

Ignacio is 34 years old and he comes from Concepción, Chile. He has a Bachelor's in Physics and a Master's degree in Physics applied to Medicine and Biology.
"I became interested (and in love) with Physics since my first year of High School. I had a great teacher that explained very well all the physical phenomena, and this intrigue me to learn new equations to better understand the nature. Currently I'm in my first year of PhD in Medical Radiation Physics."

What are your future plan

"I still have 4 years to go in the PhD, but if you ask me now, I would really like to continue as a PostDoc at MSF! I really enjoy doing research in an area that I'm passionate about!"

What's your mission for being a student ambassador

"My mission will be to show the life of PhD student in Stockholm and to show as well a different possibility of work and research for a physicist."
