New Seminar for Doctoral Students in Literature

Time: 13.00 – 14.30

Location: Room C585, House B, Floor 5, Frescati

This seminar is primarily intended for doctoral students at Stockholm University, across different languages and disciplines.

The aim is to provide a shared platform where PhD students can meet, exchange ideas, and discuss issues relevant to their research in literature. The initiative is in line with the Faculty of Humanities’ ongoing efforts to promote and strengthen the field of Language and Literature. The format of the seminar will remain flexible and can be shaped by the doctoral students themselves. We also welcome the participation of postdoctoral researchers and senior scholars.

At this first meeting, Carla Noemi Alanis, PhD student in Spanish, will give a short presentation with the title ”Critical Categories on the Threshold”. The presentation will serve as a starting point for a discussion on concepts such as modernism in different linguistic and cultural contexts.
