New centre at the department: Centre for Studies in Indo-European Language and Culture

The University President has established a new centre from 1 July 2021: Centre for Studies in Indo-European Language and Culture. The President has appointed Jenny Larsson, professor of Baltic languages, as the director of the centre.

- With this international and interdisciplinary centre, our ambition is to strengthen the research in the field of Indo-European language and culture. Due to recent advances in ancient genetics, a new picture of prehistory is emerging and the centre will function as a node for multi-disciplinary research in Indo-European language and culture, says Jenny Larsson.

Jenny Larsson is also the chairperson of the editorial board for the book series Stockholm Studies in Indo-European Language and Culture.
