Pågående forskning
Jag forskar för närvarande huvudsakligen om relationerna mellan Europas neutrala stater och Sovjetunionen under perioden 1960–1991. Forskningsprojektet heter Neutrality and the Kremlin: A Transnational History. Forskningen och bedrivs inom ramarna för spetsforskningsprogrammet Pro Futura Scientia som är ett samarbete mellan SCAS i Uppsala och Riksbankens Jubileumsfond. Min reviderade, utökade och peer-review granskade avhandling har publicerats som Ambassadors of Realpolitik: Sweden, the CSCE, and the Cold War på Berghahn Books (New York/Oxford: Berghahn, 2016). Min senaste monografi European Small States and the Role of Consuls in the Age of Empire publicerades i december 2019 av Brill. Jag håller för närvarande på att avsluta en antologi om sovjetisk-neutrala relationer under Kalla kriget som kommer att publiceras i Harvard Cold War Book Series (tillsammans med medredaktörerna Mark Kramer och Peter Ruggenthaler). Inom området migrationshistoria och diaspora har jag senast publicerat ett kapitel om den assyriska invandringen till Sverige i Bahar Baser & Paul Levin (red.), Migration from Turkey to Sweden: Integration, Belonging and Transnational Community (London: I.B. Tauris, 2017).

Current Research
My current main research focus is on the relations between the neutral states of Europe and the Soviet Union between 1960 and the end of the Cold War. This five-year research project is entitled Neutrality and the Kremlin: A Transnational History and conducted within Pro Futura Scientia, a post-doctoral programme for leading research funded by the Swedish Foundation for Humanities and Social Sciences and hosted by the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study in Uppsala. My second monograph European Small States and the Role of Consuls in the Age of Empire was published by Brill in late 2019. I am also in the process of completing an edited volume on Soviet-Neutral relations during the Cold War for the Harvard Cold War Studies Book Series (together with Mark Kramer and Peter Ruggenthaler). In my other area of interest, migration history and diaspora studies, I published a chapter on the Assyrian diaspora in Sweden in Bahar Baser & Paul Levin (eds.), Migration from Turkey to Sweden: Integration, Belonging and Transnational Community (London: I.B. Tauris, 2017). My first book Ambassadors of Realpolitik: Sweden, the CSCE, and the Cold War was published by Berghahn Books (New York/Oxford) in 2016.
