Based on current conditions and responsible authorities’ recommendations, Stockholm University has adopted the following guidelines.

About the university's activities

As of 9 February 2022 the Government and the Public Health Agency of Sweden have removed most of the restrictions regarding Covid-19. At Stockholm University, the lifting of the restrictions means the following from 9 February 2022:

• Teaching and examination must return to being given on campus as soon as possible. The return can take place gradually, but from the second part of the spring term, 22 March, 2022, teaching and examination will mainly take place according to the regular form on campus.
• Already confirmed deviations from syllabus concerning changing examination forms can continue to apply, but no new such decisions may be made by the head of each department.
• Dissertations and licentiate seminars can continue to be conducted so that it is possible to participate online.
• Students must be clearly informed about the forms in which teaching and examination will take place.
• No special restrictions apply at events or gatherings.
• Employees must gradually return to working on site on campus from 15 February in agreement with the manager in charge. By April 1, 2022, the return to work on campus must be completed. Opportunity to work from home is possible in accordance with the agreements for TA staff.

It is important that everyone acts responsibly and minimize the spread of Covid-19, and those that are able to should follow the Public Health Agency recommendation to get vaccinated. The recommendation to stay at home when having symptoms, even mild ones, is still in effect.

Work from home

Employees must gradually return to working on site on campus from 15 February in agreement with the manager in charge.

By April 1, 2022, the return to work on campus must be completed. Opportunity to work from home is possible in accordance with the agreements for TA staff.

Minimize the spread of infection

Everyone must take responsibility and help to minimize the spread of infection, and those that are able to should follow the Public Health Agency's recommendation to get vaccinated. 

The Public Health Authority urges anyone with symptoms of a respiratory infection, even mild ones, to stay at home even if you are fully vaccinated. Follow the instructions from your physician if you live in a household with someone with confirmed Covid-19.

Travels

• Business travel: Business travels within Sweden can be granted when done in accordance with official advice and recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Sweden. Staff who are planning international business trips are advised to follow the guidelines of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Public Health Agency of Sweden, the universities concerned, and the relevant airline information. Non-necessary trips to countries which the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travelling to should be avoided.

• Bookings: All business trips must be booked through the University's procured travel agency Egencia. 
• Regarding visits: Staff who are expecting visits from partners or guests from abroad are advised to follow the guidelines of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Public Health Agency of Sweden, the universities concerned, and the relevant airline information.
