Andreas Widholm is an Associate Professor of Journalism at the Department of Media Studies, Stockholm University. His research focuses on global news production, media and culture, digital political communication, war and conflict reporting, the use and evaluation of sources in journalism, and alternative media. Andreas teaches at all levels within journalism studies and media and communication studies.

He is a member of the interdisciplinary research networks Digital Humanities (DHV) and Language and Power at Stockholm University. Outside academia, he serves on the board of the Institute for Media Studies.
