Research groups

Stockholm Technology & Interaction Research (STIR)

The STIR group brings together a mix of technologists and social scientists. Together, we research and build new digital technologies. Our work is situated within the Human–Computer Interaction field.

Interaction and Multilingualism (Interfler)

Interfler is one of the regular research groups in the section Swedish and Scandinavian Languages in the Department of Swedish and Multilingualism. The group consists of researchers with interests in interaction and multilingualism, both in everyday life and different public domains such as education and working life.

About me

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) at Stockholm University, affiliated with the research group Stockholm Technology and Interaction Research (STIR), and connected to the NordForsk project “Nordic Perspectives on Collaborative AI in Blue-Collar Work (CAI-BLUE)”.
My research examines how digital technologies and AI systems reconfigure communication, coordination, and collaboration in organizational and multilingual workplace settings. My work is primarily based on video recordings of naturally occurring interaction, complemented by ethnographic methods such as workplace observations, fieldnotes, interviews, and participation in everyday workplace activities. Through these approaches, I investigate how participants manage understanding, turn-taking, translation and interpretation, and collaborative action in technology-mediated environments.
My work is grounded in Ethnomethodological Conversation Analysis (EMCA), multimodal interaction analysis, and interactional sociolinguistics. I am particularly interested in AI-mediated communication, human–AI coordination, digital translation technologies, multilingual workplace interaction, and the social organization of technology use in professional life.
My doctoral research explored how multilingual workers use tools such as Google Translate and ChatGPT in workplace interaction, with particular attention to turn-taking, participation frameworks, and the interactional management of machine-mediated communication.
More broadly, my research contributes to Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Conversational User Interfaces (CUI), workplace studies, and multilingualism. Across these areas, I examine how humans and AI systems coordinate action and collaboration in everyday professional settings.
