I am a PhD student in Hydrology, focusing on coastal environments within the Baltic region. My research aims to better understand the interactions between land and sea, and how energy, resources and nutrients are exchanged to and from the Baltic Sea. Using remote sensing I explore the connections between the Sea, its rivers and coastal ecosystems. My academic interests paricularly revolves around upstream interactions and processes, such as saltwater intrusion, backwater effects and damming.
