Daniel Lövheim Senior lecturer

I am senior lecturer in history of education at the Department of Education. I am also assistant professor in history of ideas, Stockholm University. My research interests are cross-disciplinary and concerns the historical and sociological understanding of both education and science. I have just finished  a project called Fostering scientific elites in the shadow of the cold war 1962-1985. The project was financed by The Swedish Foundation for Humanities and Social Sciences. There is also a recently published chapter in the volume Educational Internationalism in the Cold War: Plural Visions, Global Experiences (2024).

Since 2021 I have been working on a project called The school student movement and school democracy: Collective formation processes, repertoires of contention and public response 1952-1989. The project is being financed by The Swedish Research Council 2021-2024. My most recent publication from that project appeared in Nordic Journal of Educational History Vol. 11 No. 1 (2024).
