About me
I am a PhD student with an interest in the role of embodied and emotional experiences of agrarian spaces and farm work practices. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Rural Development from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
In my PhD research, I focus on young people's perspectives on their daily work lives in the agricultural sector in contemporary Sweden. My research is anchored in feminist epistemology, phenomenology, and more-than-human geographies. I work with qualitative ethnographic methods, primarily participant observation with humans and the non-human actors they interact with, on various types of farms. Theoretically, I am drawing on concepts such as embodied knowledge, hybrid labour, and emotional experiences of place to contribute to a deeper understanding of how work in the agricultural sector becomes meaningful to people involved in daily farm work.
