Jessica Margareta Lindvall Head of Unit

Short Bio:

Jessica is leading the lifelong learning initiative at the Swedish national Research Infrastructure in life science, SciLifeLab (https://www.scilifelab.se/), establishing the national Training Hub. She is part of the Bioinformatics Platform, NBIS, at SciLifeLab where she coordinates the advanced training in Bioinformatics delivered to the national community. NBIS is also the Swedish Node of ELIXIR and Jessica is the deputy Head of Node and also one of the co-leads of the Training Platform in ELIXIR. She is also a co-chair of the EOSC Task Force "Upskilling countries to engage in EOSC"

Research

Jessica is engaged in training and training research and is one of the co-authors of the curricula and professional development framework "Mastery Rubric for Bioinformatics" from 2019 ( https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0225256) in addition to co-leading the work on the ELIXIR-GOBLET Professional Guides (

https://doi.org/10.7490/f1000research.1118395.1, https://doi.org/10.7490/f1000research.1119019.1,  https://doi.org/10.7490/f1000research.1119023.1). She aims to produce research in the team science sphere, combining higher education science with bioinformatics and data-driven life science.
