About me

I am a Postdoc on the DEMCOOP project at the Department of Political Science. I joined the department in 2025 after completing my PhD at the University of Oslo.

My main research interest lies in autocratic politics. I am particularly interested in elite dynamics, citizens' support for dictators, and the conceptualization and measurement of autocratic regimes. As part of the DEMCOOP project, my current research focuses on international cooperation, with an emphasis on how regime type shapes states' international behaviour. In my research, I mostly analyse observational data using quantitative methods and use (survey-)experimental methods.

For more information, visit my personal webpage.

I have mainly taught Quantitative Methods and Comparative Politics (with a focus on Autocratic Politics), and have experience in supervising M.A. students. I am particularly interested in thinking about how to teach and test students in times of ChatGPT, and have lectured on this topic as well.

At SU, I will give lectures in the introductory course on Comparative Politics, supervise B.A. students (Fall 25), and teach an M.A. course on Autocratic Politics (Spring 26).
