About me

I am a PhD student in Slavic languages with a literary specialization. My dissertation project examines the phenomenon of linguistic conversion from Russian to Ukrainian in contemporary Ukrainian poetry.




Resurrecting through Language: Linguistic Conversion in Contemporary Ukrainian Poetry

My research project examines the phenomenon of linguistic conversion from Russian to Ukrainian in contemporary Ukrainian poetry, with a specific focus on the poet Iya Kiva. Through a close reading of her poetry collections, I explore the thematic representation of Russian-Ukrainian bilingualism and the transition from Russian to Ukrainian in her work.
