Harmful use in working life – prevention and intervention

Harmful use of, for example, alcohol, drugs or gambling for money in working life can lead to negative consequences for both the individual and the employer. At the same time, the workplace is an important arena for reaching out with both preventive and supportive measures.

About me

Kristina Sundqvist has a PhD in psychology and holds a position as a researcher at the Department of Psychology at Stockholm University. Her reserach projects concerns problem gambling and psychiatric comorbidity as well as problematic alcohol consumption in the workplace.

Kristina is a licensed psychologist and a trained social pedagogue. For the past ten years she has been working clinically with assessment and treatment of individuals with problems arising from alcohol and/or gambling.


Kristinas research projects target harmful use of alcohol within the worklife. She also focus on problematic gambling.
