About me

I am a Ph.D. student in Gender Studies at the Graduate School GENHDI (The Graduate School in Gender, Humanities and Digital Cultures) since the autumn of 2023. My research project explores Japanese art in digital times, with a particular focus on the artist Mariko Mori. In the project, I will analyze Mori's visual works from a feminist and posthumanist perspective.

Before starting my Ph.D., I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies (University of Gothenburg), a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies (University of Gothenburg), and a Master of Arts in Film Studies (University of Gothenburg). In my previous research, the main focus has often been the representation of the body in visual cultures. As an example, I have written about the figuration of artificial women in science fiction films.

My academic interests include Feminist Film Theory, Cultural Analysis, Posthumanist Theory, and Japanese Film and Art.

Supervisors are Lisa Käll (Stockholm University) and Malena Gustavsson (Stockholm University).
