If you close your eyes, can you imagine a red apple? Around four percent of the world’s population cannot. The inability to voluntarily create mental images is called aphantasia. In this project, we explore how immersive digital media may offer alternative forms of imagination and visual mental imagery.

Many existing digital applications leverage machine learning algorithms to improve their solutions. This project explores how these algorithms can also help understand user behaviour in virtual reality environments to design more effective systems.

This project investigates interpersonal psychotherapeutic interactions and their effect on treatment outcomes using AI and time series analysis.

In this project, virtual patients will be developed and evaluated with the aim of creating better conditions for dynamic skills training and authentic learning for psychology students.

The project creates opportunities for a new form of public performances where the line between artists and audience is blurred. We work with mixed and augmented reality together with immersive participation and new mobile communication technology. We will demonstrate this in an interactive performance in a public environment.
