Lukas Bigler

About me

I am a PhD student in environmental science with a background in physical geography. As a polar biogeochemist I study how the melting glaciers of the Greenland Ice Sheet affect the fjords biogeochemistry. For that I focus on fjords in Sout East and Northern Greenland to assess the dynamics of greenhouse gases, nutrients and different carbon pools and get insights on these sensitive Arctic ecosystems.

Apart from that I am a freelance cinematographer and like to create documentary formats to communicate our science to a broader audience.
