Mário Bettencourt de Castro Jorge Amaro

I am a PhD student in experimental condensed-matter physics, working on fundamental questions in unconventional superconductivity. My research employs magnetotransport and thermoelectric measurements to probe whether theoretical descriptions beyond conventional charge-2e superconductivity are experimentally supported, with a current focus on BKFA. My goal is to place experimentally grounded constraints on proposed pairing mechanisms, namely scenarios consistent with electron quadrupling (charge-4e) states.
