Biophysical studies of protein - membrane interactions.

We have for many years focused our research on biophysical investigations of membrane protein – lipid interactions, and we have studied different aspects of these interactions; protein structure and, lipid dynamics and their dependence on interactions with membrane proteins. We use nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques, which are uniquely suited for this research, as they provide excellent tools for determining structure, and at the same time methods that can be used to investigate dynamics on a wide time-scale.
