Svante Schriber Professor

Svante Schriber is Professor of Business administration at the section for Management and Organization. He earned his PhD at the Stockholm School of Economics where he conducted his research until starting at the SBS in 2015. Before starting his PhD he worked in consulting in Germany focusing on international strategy. 

His research uncovers why certain firms consistently outperform others. This includes studying how the strategic management gathers and analyzes information, and makes and implements decisions. Alongside his research, he has more than ten years practical experience of strategic management at the top management level.

His research appears in leading international academic journals. He is the author and co-author of several books on M&A, strategy and management. He also directs his research results to managers and practitioners in practitioner journals. He has been granted research funding from e.g. Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, Handelsbankens stiftelser, and VINNOVA. 

Svante is Research Fellow at Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Austria. He has been visiting researcher at St. Gallen University, Switzerland, an regularly teaches at other universities. His teaching has repeatedly been acknowledged for its quality, and he has been nominated for Best Teacher awards several times. He has a long experience of teaching M&A, strategy and management to experienced managers, both in the context of executive education and tailored education programs in a wide range of industries.
