I defended my PhD in Sociology from Department of Sociology, Stockholm University, and continue to work on research projects based at the department. Besides, I also work as postdoctoral researcher at Demography Unit, Åbo Akademi University in Finland, and previously Department of Social Work, Södertörn Univerisity.
My research interest includes religion, ethnicity and migration, and political sociology.
I hold a Research Master degree in social and behavioral sciences (minor in sociology) from Tilburg University, an MA degree in social science from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a BSc degree in statistics from Sun Yat-Sen University.
Spring 2023: Complex Inequality (additional lecturer); Globalization (seminar leader)

I am a Wenner-Gren Fellow at Demography Unit, Åbo Akademi Univeristy, Finland, for project "En undersökning av religiöst medlemskap i högsekulär Finland med nationella registerdata". I am also affiliated to Stockholm University Demographic Unit (SUDA), Department of Sociology.
I work under collaborated projects: "Demographic change and ethnolinguistic identity in an intergenerational perspective: The Swedish-speaking population in Finland (DemSwed)", "RelFin: Forskning vid Åbo Akademi om trender i religiöst medlemskap i Svenskfinland", and "Parbildning och dess konsekvenser bland infödda och immigranter i Finland", between Stockholm University and Åbo Akademi Univeristy in Finland. My research focus will be inquiry on religious affiliation using Finnish register data.
I previously worked under the project "Leavers and stayers - Migrant and non-migrant life trajectories in Sweden and Finland" based at Södertörn University, investigating the socio-economic and demographic outcomes of migration for Finnish migrants and their offspring since the 1970s, combining Swedish and Finnish register data.
My dissertation focuses on the impact of religion on political attitudes and political behaviors through political cleavages, political institutions, and political articulation in secularizing European societies.
