Research group Control and audit of out-of-home care for children and youth

Our studies analyse the preconditions for public authorities to, via different institutional arrangements, detect malpractice and control care quality. We have for example studied licensing and state inspections of residential care for children and youth, in both a Swedish and Nordic perspective. Currently, we run a research project on local supervision of foster care.
