Research project ACCELERATE – Transition to and scale-up of bio-CO₂ utilization

Stockholm University is a partner in ACCELERATE, a multidisciplinary research centre led by KTH and focused on developing sustainable technologies for the capture, separation and utilisation of biogenic CO₂.

Through research on advanced functional materials, catalysis, reactors and process systems, the project aims to enable CO₂-negative production of high-value chemicals, polymers and pharmaceutical building blocks, supporting the transition to fossil-free value chains. Stockholm University contributes expertise in CO₂ chemistry, catalysis and materials science and collaborates closely with KTH, industrial partners and international research organisations. The centre will also provide training opportunities for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers.
