Research project State of Emergency
Research project that explores the concept and regulation of states of emergency, focusing on their impact on democracy, the rule of law, and human rights.
The research project concerns State of Emergency and examines how emergency powers are applied in various contexts, including responses to crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, and investigates the legal, political, and historical dimensions of these extraordinary measures.
The project has received funding from by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) for the period april-june 2020. The project involves colleagues from the political science department at Stockholm University.
