Research subject International Political Economy

International political economy at our department examines the problems arising from the interaction of international politics, international economics, different social systems, and different societal groups that span the international system.

Within that broad framework, we study the forms of global economic governance that shape responses to those problems. Macroeconomic phenomena are closely in focus here, including globalization, trade, monetary systems, international business, and development policy. We are especially concerned with issues of well-being, fairness, gender equality, security, and voice.
