The primary purpose of the conference is to consolidate and strengthen gender research at Stockholm University. It aims to facilitate discussions across and between disciplines on diverse themes related to gender. In times when academic knowledge production faces growing challenges and defiances, this conference provides a platform for conversations regarding the meaning and significance of public outreach.

By fostering synergies and facilitating networking opportunities, the conference will open up for collaborations and connections! While the main language of the conference is Swedish, presentations can also be conducted in English, and a portion of the program will be in English as well. Participation is open to all, regardless of whether you identify as a gender researcher. Subject to availability, the conference will also be open also for participants who do not present research.

• Presentations of gender research
• Presentations and workshops regarding gender in higher education or public outreach
• Round table discussions on interdisciplinary topics:
  - politicisation of the academy
  - conditions for knowledge production
  - academic solidarity and care
  - the feminist classroom, gender and power in higher education
• Dialogue-café about current themes
• Researcher and doctoral student mingling

Registration is closed

We encourage the submission of abstracts for research presentations (approx 15 min presentation). We also welcome expression of interest in participating in the roundtable discussions mentioned above. Proposals for additional roundtable sessions that transcend disciplinary boundaries, including the topic and potential participants are also welcome.

Abstracts should be a maximum of 200 words long and should describe your ongoing or planned research, or alternatively, provide reflections on gender in university education or public outreach.
