We have five continuous flow mass spectrometer systems from Finnigan/Thermo which are configured to measure the isotope ratios of hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and sulphur in a wide range of different sample materials.
Mass spectrometers are connected with two elemental analyser for C, N and S isotopic measurements on solid samples, a TC/EA for thermochemical reduction of organic and inorganic samples for H and O isotopic analysis, two Gasbench II for C and O isotopic analysis on carbonates/carbonate-containing materials and a GC/GCIsolink.
For stable isotope analysis of water samples we have a Laser Water Isotope Analyzer from Picarro.
Elemental Analyzer
A CarloErba NC2500 configured for NCH concentration analysis.

Elemental Analyzer-DeltaV advantage
A Finnigan DeltaV advantage purchased in 2008 is connected to a CarloErba NC2500 elemental analyzer through a ConfloIV open split interface to analyse elemental and isotopic composition of solid samples for carbon and nitrogen.

Elemental Analyzer-Delta plus
A Finnigan Delta Plus purchased in 1997 is connected to a CarloErba NC2500 elemental analyzer through a ConfloII open split interface to analyse elemental and isotopic composition of solid samples for sulphur.

Temperature Conversion Elemental Analyzer-DeltaV advantage
The Finnigan DeltaV advantage purchased in 2008 is connected to a Temperature conversion elemental analyzer (TC/EA) through a ConfloIV open split interface to analyse elemental and isotopic composition of organic and inorganic samples for oxygen and hydrogen.

HDevice-MAT253
The MAT253 purchased in 2012 is connected to the HDevice. The HDevice is a novel preparation system for hydrogen stable isotope of water. It is based on a reduction reaction with hot chromium and directly connected to the dual inlet system of the MAT253.

Liquid Water Isotope Analyzer
The LWIA provides isotope ratio measurements by laser absorption spectroscopy (off-axis integrated cavity output spectroscopy), capable of analyzing water for hydrogen and oxygen stable isotope analyses.

GC-DeltaV plus
A Finnigan DeltaV plus purchased in 2008 is connected to a GC/C-GC/TC through a ConfloIV open split interface for Compound-Specific Isotope Analysis (CSIA). A PreCon for automated pre-GC concentration of atmospheric trace gases is included in this setup.

GasbenchII-MAT253
Two MAT253 purchased in 2012 and 2014 are connected to two Gasbench II. The GasbenchII is a continuous flow preparation device and inlet system with repetitive loop injection of gases. Supported by a GC-PAL auto sampler and using septum-sealed sample vials, a wide variety of applications is accessible for high precision on-line measurements. This application offers analysis for CO2 water equilibration, CO2 from air, dissolved inorganic and organic carbon and carbonate.
