An increase in the level and type of antibiotic resistant infections has left some commentators believing that we are now entering the post antibiotic era. This rise in antibiotic resistance has provided a renewed interest in the application of phages and their derived enzymes for the treatment of multidrug resistant bacterial infections.
Through the use of in silico modelling and in vitro experiments we are seeking to develop and evaluate phage based therapies for the treatment of multidrug resistant bacterial infections.
