Although this years project is lead by Michael Tjernström from MISU, no one from MISU is actually going on the expedition. Instead the work on board will lead by prof Ian Brooks, Leeds University, and a frequent guest at MISU, and the three other were selected as a part of an Early Career Scientist program: John Prytherch from Leeds, Anna Fitch from SMHI and Piotr Kupiszewski from ETH in Zurich. The expedition is driven by the Candian Geological Survey as part of their "Law of the Sea" work, but our group will observe surface fluxes with instruments in the foremast of Oden, as well as weather and clouds with instruments in the top deck and with radiosoundings.
