Raymond Pierrehumbert is Halley Professor in Physics at Oxford University, UK, and a holder of King Carl XVI Gustaf’s visiting Chair in Environmental Science at Stockholm University. Pierrehumbert is a world leading climate scientist with an unusually broad field of interests, and has studied the climate on Earth as well as on other planets, and is a leading authority on the carbon cycle in the climate system. Since a sabbatical 1987/88 he is a frequent and welcome guest at Stockholm University.

Raymond Pierrehumbert will give a seminar in C609 at the Department of Meteorology on September 25 with the title Is unrestricted beef production compatible with keeping global warming under 2C? More information and the abstract can be found on the event page and in the  Invitation (1374 Kb) .
