As a PhD student at the department you are also a member of the PhD Coucil. The PhD council is a forum for all issues on the situation of the PhD students, whether it deals with research, teaching, courses or social activities.
The PhD council have elected representatives in the department board, which is the decisive unit of the department. At the board meetings, questions from the PhD council are ventilated and the representatives can influence decisions taken there.
