Introduction
This is a course in the philosophy of language, and formal semantics more
specifically. The course supplies the student with the technical skills
required to reason about issues concerning context sensitivity in natural
language, as well as knowledge about the central arguments in the field.
No prior knowledge of formal semantics is required.

Practical information
There will be eight two-hour lectures on Mondays and Wednesdays 13-15 and three seminars on Thursdays 13-15, beginning March 6. The last encounter will take place on Wednesday March 29.
