My project is about plant-soil interactions in the Arctic where we see an ongoing vegetation shift from native tundra vegetation to taller shrubs due to climate warming.

In my main experiment, I used mesocosms that were filled with soil and plants from the Canadian tundra and measured many different soil parameters and greenhouse gas concentrations. The aim was to assess the influence of different plant species on various soil processes and how they affect carbon and nitrogen cycles in a changing Arctic.
