Reaction: Action! is a room of interaction between activists and researchers on areas of overlapping interest. A space where contemporary issues can be discussed in an informal setting, allowing for different point of views and a wider understanding of the subjects presented.

BlatteQueers i Film
BlatteQueers i Film is a queer people of color film project directed towards youth in Sweden. The project is community and target group based and addresses central themes related to gender identity, sexuality and racism. The goal is to confront issues of representation and identification as lived experiences and knowledges from young queer- and trans people of color. The project will produce a series of short films and a book. During the session we will show you some short clips of a few of the short films that are in production now.

Dennis Forsgren, Nätverket för Grekland
Nätverket för Grekland, or the Network for Greece, was established in 2014 as an act of solidarity with the Greek people during the economic crisis. The organisation is party politically independent and is built on a platform of democratic and anti-racist values. While opposing the austerity measures imposed by the European Union and the IMF, Nätverket för Grekland aims to influence public opinion in Sweden through op-ed articles, lectures and reports from Greece. The organisation also provides medicine to the solidarity clinic in Elliniko, Athens, as well as necessities needed by refugees in the Greek border areas.
Dennis Forsgren is currently enrolled as a first year master’s student at the Department of Social Anthropology. His bachelor’s thesis Envisioning Migration: Economic Crisis and Dreams of Migration in Thessaloniki, Greece (2015) can be provided upon request.

Tobias Poggats: Queerness in a colonial context
Tobias Poggats is a queer activist from Gällivare in Sápmi. He has a background in journalism and behavioral sciences. At the moment he is touring with the queer, anti-nationalistic play "Vahák - violence" at Ögonblicksteatern. Through the years Tobias has been co-arranging Sámi pride festivals, educated organisations of queerness and Sáminess, and been working in a activist context to further the human rights for the indigenous people in Sweden. He now welcomes you to a talk at Reaction: Action!
