Johanna Rickne is awarded the SNS Prize 2023

Johanna Rickne, professor of economics at SOFI, is this year's recipient of the SNS Prize. She is awarded the prize amount of 200,000 Swedish kronor.

Johanna Rickne is this year's recipient of the SNS Prize. The prize is being awarded for the first time and recognizes younger researchers who disseminate their research to society.

Rickne is awarded 200,000 Swedish kronor. The jury's motivation reads:

"Johanna Rickne is an outstanding and internationally recognized researcher. She effectively spreads her research on topics such as integration, economic and political equality, and voter behavior. Not only has she been published in leading scientific journals, but she has also made her research accessible through a strong presence in the public arena and through numerous collaborations with various societal actors and think tanks. Johanna Rickne is an exemplary figure who has contributed to giving gender equality issues a more prominent place in the public sphere and among decision-makers."
