About me

I am a PhD student at the Department of Sociology at Stockholm University since the fall of 2016. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Uppsala University and a master's degree in demography from Stockholm University. Before starting my PhD studies I have been working with population and integration statistics as well as gender consultations work at Statistics Sweden.

My research interest evolves around earnings differential between partners and I am part of the project “Income Inequalities in Couples”. In my dissertation research, I intend to explore the development of income inequality between women and men following childbirth and how this is related to the development of family income inequality at national levels. Some specific questions of interest are how couples compositions have changed over time, and how income inequality between women and men in couples develops after a divorce. I intend to use quantitative methods to explore this.
